Security
Data security is an essential part of any data processing
system. The Cygnus system provides security at many different levels and can
be configured to be very open or very secure, depending on user
requirements. Every user receives a secure internet account that can be
enabled or restricted as necessary. Cygnus implements the following security
features for data protection:

Security roles for convenient grouping of employees

Branch-level security to customize branch access

User-level security to customize an individual employee

Authentication with Verisign SSL certificate technology

Internet firewall for additional data protection
Flexibility is the key to controlling your access to system
data. In order to provide the most flexible security model possible, Cygnus
supports security on almost any object in the system (i.e. user, branch,
view, menu option, etc.). If default security roles and settings are not
adequate, any level of security can be configured by the system
administrator.
